What happens on a site survey?

Site Survey- A full site survey is free and enables us to present in your home a choice of some of the floors you have seen in our showrooms. We can at this stage assess the subfloor condition, and take accurate moisture and humidity readings of the building to make sure you have a successful wood flooring installation:

Here's the science- hygroscopic adj. (of a substance) tending to absorb water from the air.

Wood is hygroscopic, and so believe it or not are wood floors, consequently should there be excessive moisture around a wood floor will absorb it and boards will expand. By contrast should existing moisture in wood be drawn out quickly boards will shrink. This is one very good reason why a full survey is required.
